About Me
I grew up in Rwanda, studied journalism in Qatar at Northwestern University, and have spent years reporting on stories at the intersection of human rights and politics. At Doha News, I covered the 2022 FIFA World Cup on the ground, reporting through heavy misinformation while also documenting the exploitation of African migrants who built the stadiums and later faced wage theft, abuse, and deportation. As a freelancer for Migrant-Rights.org, I reported on African gig-economy riders who were left without pay, contracts, or legal protection. My digital and TV production work has appeared in prominent outlets such Al Jazeera English, and Voice of America(VOA). I am fluent in four languages—English, French, Kinyarwanda, and Swahili. What draws me most to journalism is the opportunity to tell stories that protect and support marginalized voices across the world.
